Pre-screening
AI pre-screening
Finlay can pre-screen interested candidates with a short AI voice conversation, reminders and a role-based assessment.
What AI pre-screening does
Section titled “What AI pre-screening does”Finlay can pre-screen an interested candidate with a short voice conversation about the role before review. It helps clarify requirements that a profile alone cannot answer and gathers answers to targeted screening questions.
Set up the conversation
Section titled “Set up the conversation”On Finlay Source, choose AI pre-screen call in the job’s automation settings and add useful screening questions when you create the job. Finlay uses those questions and gaps in the profile evidence available for that candidate to prepare the conversation. The questions can vary by candidate.
On Finlay Managed, work with your Finlay recruiter to set up automation. See Managed workspaces.
The candidate receives role context before the conversation and can ask questions during it. See Create a job and Choose your automation level.
When candidates receive the link
Section titled “When candidates receive the link”With automated outreach, Finlay gives the AI pre-screen link to candidates who show clear interest in the role. With I’ll screen them, it sends the job owner’s booking link instead. With Skip the call, it sends no screening link. See Automated outreach.
Pre-screen reminders
Section titled “Pre-screen reminders”After an AI pre-screen link is delivered, Finlay can send a reminder after 48 hours. It can send one final reminder 72 hours after the most recently delivered link. There are at most two reminders, and Finlay stops when the candidate replies or completes the pre-screen.
What happens after the call
Section titled “What happens after the call”Finlay assesses a completed call against the role. Depending on the job’s submission rules, eligible approved candidates can progress automatically; other candidates stay for human review. Open the job’s Candidates tab to inspect the assessment and the candidate’s evidence. See Review candidates.
