Jobs and sourcing
Pause or close a job
Pause a job to stop new sourcing and outreach, or close it permanently when the role is filled or no longer needed.
Drafts must be published before they can be paused or closed.
Pausing is useful when you need to stop new activity while keeping the job and its current candidates available for later review. Closing is permanent for that job.
Pause the search
Section titled “Pause the search”Pause search… stops new sourcing and outreach. Messages already queued for delivery may still be sent.
Resume search… restarts the job. If your plan has no room for another active job, pause or close another job first.
Close the job
Section titled “Close the job”Close job… asks what happened with the role: you hired a Finlay candidate, filled it another way, or are no longer hiring. Closing ends the search and switches off the job’s automation.
- A closed job cannot be reopened. Create a new job instead.
- Candidates already in progress are not notified.
On Finlay Managed, your Finlay recruiter manages existing jobs. See Managed workspaces.
