# Sign up and set up your workspace

Set up your company and hiring goals, then connect the places where your AI recruiter can work with your team.

## Sign up

1. Set up your company profile and hiring goals. This context helps Finlay,
   your AI recruiter, create and run your jobs.
2. Connect Slack if your team uses it. After Slack approves Finlay, pick the
   channel for candidate introductions and interview coordination, or choose
   **Use Finlay app DM**.
3. Create a job and choose its automation. The plan and automation setting
   determine whether Finlay only sources or also sends outreach and runs
   pre-screens.

You can change or remove the notification channel later. See

## Your first days

Start with a complete job description and decide whether you want to connect
Slack now. Slack lets you ask Finlay about jobs and candidates alongside your
team; it is not required to create a job. Follow
