# Create your first job

Set up a complete role, choose the right automation, start sourcing and know where to review candidate activity.

## Before you start sourcing

Start with a role that has a clear title, description, requirements and
practical details such as seniority, location, work arrangement and employment
type. Add screening questions when you need information that will not be clear
from a candidate's profile. See [Create a job](https://help.finlay.ai/jobs/create-a-job/).

Connect Slack if you want candidate introductions in Slack. Connect LinkedIn
before enabling outreach: it is the account Finlay
uses to send automated outreach, and the account you use to send approved

## Choose the initial workflow

On Finlay Source, choose what should happen after sourcing:

- **Autopilot** has Finlay run outreach and an AI pre-screen.
- **Sourcing only** lets you choose candidates, approve outreach drafts and
  manage the conversation yourself.

On an existing job, **Custom** lets you combine outreach with an AI pre-screen,
a human pre-screen or no pre-screen. If the job owner will run the
pre-screen, they can add their booking link while choosing **I’ll screen
them**, or use [Integrations](https://help.finlay.ai/integrations/linkedin/). For the full decision

## Start sourcing and review

Choose **Start sourcing** when the role and automation are ready. Automated
outreach begins only after candidates are shortlisted.

Use [Check hiring activity](https://help.finlay.ai/get-started/find-your-way-around/) for work that
needs attention, and [Review candidates](https://help.finlay.ai/candidates/review-candidates/) for
the evidence, outreach and pre-screen history behind each candidate.

Free includes sourcing only: up to 10 unique candidates for the company over
the account's lifetime, with no automatic shortlisting, outreach or AI calls.
